A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....

Experience the original Star Wars trilogy back-to-back, over one weekend: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Although the Cantina band won't be joining us, we have the next best thing... the very orchestra that recorded John Williams' epic score - the London Symphony Orchestra.

Star Wars Weekender takes place from 29th April 2027 to the 2nd May 2027 and includes six screenings across four days.


What are the films about?

Star Wars: A New Hope

Luke Skywalker begins a journey that will change the galaxy. Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke’s Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of Darth Vader and the evil Empire.


Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

As Imperial Forces launch an all-out attack on the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) flee to Cloud City where they are captured by Darth Vader. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) journeys to the mysterious, marshy planet of Dagobah, where the wise Jedi Master Yoda teaches the young hero the ways of the Force. Little does Luke know that all his Jedi training will be called upon so soon.


Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

After a quick trip back to Tatooine, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo are reunited and join up with the amassing rebel fleet to take down the evil Empire once and for all. As the Empire prepares to crush the Rebellion with an even more powerful Death Star. Luke Skywalker confronts Darth Vader in a final climactic duel.

Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert runs for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 25-minute interval.


Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 25-minute interval.


Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert runs for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 25-minute interval.


Is the performance suitable for children?

All customers aged 14 years or below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.


Can I wear cosplay or fancy dress?

We welcome all cosplay and fancy dress to Film in Concert events. Please note, we unfortunately can't allow replica weapons into the Hall. For safety and security purposes, you may also be asked to remove items that cover or obscure your face.

When will I get my tickets to Star Wars Weekender?

All Tickets are e-tickets. These can be printed or shown on a mobile device. These will be sent to you 14 days prior to the performance.

By underground and train

Underground: South Kensington and High Street Kensington are the closest underground stations to the Royal Albert Hall. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to walk here from either station.


By bus

The nearest bus stops are Kensington Gore, Queen's Gate and Prince Consort Road. Routes 9, N9, 52, 70, 360, 452 and 702 serve the Royal Albert Hall.
